Object  NGC 3242- Ghost of Jupiter

This planetary nebula situated in the constellation Hydra is of similar  apparent size to the disk of Jupiter. It lies around 2600 L.y. away. This object is typical of a star like our own Sun that has finished its fusion cycle and gone super nova. The remnants is a white dwarf star & its ejector.
