Object  M90 & Companion IC 3538
Info

M90 is one of the few large spirals galaxies in the Virgo Cluster coming in at Mag. 10.33. The outer arms of M90 are devoid of star formation as there are no notably bright pinkish H II regions visible. IC3583 located to the bottom is a visible companion and is being  distorted by its larger neighbour. At a distance of 60 million l.y's away, astronomers have discovered that M90 is moving toward us. It has enough gravitational velocity to escape from the Virgo cluster where it resides.
